WAY TO GO GUYS!!!!
We moved to Utah about a year ago right before winter and decided to get our double jogging stroller tires fixed up at Bingham's. We paid for the extra sealant and puncture proof tires because I didn't want my wife to stress about it. This summer the tires went flat a few times and we had to take it in a few times because we couldn't fix it (and we tried what they told us). They went flat again and I'm done spending time and money without getting what I paid for. I just wanted a refund as the tires weren't doing what I needed and the lady working (who also was the one who helped us with the tires last time) said we had a 30 day warranty so sorry. So they only stand behind puncture proof tires with sealant for 30 days? I expected much more quality but didn't get it. I expected better customer service but didn't get it. I'm no bike specialist and depended on them but was let down. All they could say was sorry.
I have done a decent amount of business with these guys within the past few months. Brandon did a great job setting up my new bike. The staff went the extra mile with helping my wife decide which frame size would be the best fit. Royce, the manager, always greets us with a smile and really takes the time to answer questions. By no fault of their own, I received an incorrect order and it was promptly corrected by the staff. Best of all, we enjoy the "Mom and Pop" feel we get at this shop.
I bought my bike at Bingham's Cyclery about three years ago. I ride my bike daily most of the year for exercise and shopping. I bought my son a bike there too and he rode it every where. They both are still awesome bikes. I take my bike in for yearly tuneups and recently added a new bike rack that has bags that slip on and off in seconds! I also added lights that charge easily. They helped me practice with the lights and bags to be sure I knew how to properly use them. I keep returning to Bingham's Cyclery because they are kind, helpful, efficient, and easy to talk to. I also appreciate that they are closed on Sunday.
I'm currently touring America on my 1975 Raleigh Record bicycle. I stopped in the store today when my rear wheel needed some work and to check the air pressure in my tires. Well, let me tell you, if all the bike shops I've been in in this country, the staff was second to none. Cheyenne (the mechanic) went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure my bicycle was mechanically sound. She has a great personality and was a pleasure to be around. Not only did she fix my rear wheel, she also discovered my front wheel needed a little fix also. I wish all bicycle mechanics had her attention to detail. I didn't get the names of the rest of the staff, but they were awesome. I'm definitely spreading the word of how great this bike shop is to all my fellow cyclists.
We went to buy a replacement bike tube. The staff were helpful and friendly. Enough staff were present to help the multiple people shopping in their store. The set-up and location is nice. Many products to choose from. They helped us get a thick tube with sealant so it will hold up unlike the thin one we had that broke. The tube was not super cheap, but wasn't marked up to take advantage of customers either. It was about $15. Going here was better than going to a discount store or buying online.
